Sascha Station is the nom for the Lockheed-BAe Mars Orbital Facility. The core of the station was constructed in Earth orbit between 2042 and 2048, when it was moved into Mars orbit where construction was completed.

Originally intended as an ore processing and refining operation, the station was expanded to include factory facilities sufficient to complete the proposed Mars Colony project with reduced need for continual resupply from Earth.

In 2058 during the Cold War 2, Sascha Station violently rebelled from Earth administration and has remained independent for the last sixteen years. Currently, no Terran organisation possesses sufficient space-based military forces to recapture it.

Sascha Station is named for Philipp Sascha, the astrotect who designed the station's core processing modules for Lockheed-BAe.
