Recoil limit
From SaschaWiki
In small arms design, the recoil limit describes the maximum realistic recoil a weapon can inflict on an average trained human wielder. The actual numerical value of the limit (nowadays measured in Warwicks) has changed frequently and can sometimes vary between areas or Corporations, but as a concept it is very important.
Typically a more powerful weapon (in terms of calibre, muzzle velocity or fire rate) will have a greater recoil, and beyond a certain point it becomes unusable by a soldier.
Since the 2020s, small arms which violate the recoil limit have been constructed for use by augmented humans as well as soldiers wearing self-powered exoskeletons. However, since the majority of Corpsecs are not significantly augmented, weapons which maintain the limit are still manufactured and used in 2074.
